  • First time? Please sign the Consent Form. Also, check out our Blog to learn more about Reiki and how it works from afar.

    One-On-One Session

Before we begin, we will talk on the phone, via video chat, or by text to discuss any questions and concerns you may have. Then we will hang up and get started! (Please allow ~10 minutes for this discussion if this is your first time)

You can set any intention(s) by saying a prayer or blessing.

It is encouraged to be free from any distractions if possible, so go to your comfort place where you can lie down or sit quietly. Relax, meditate, or even fall asleep during this healing session.

When done, I will contact you to schedule the after-healing check-in, where we will discuss your experience and energy.

Allow at least 15 minutes to discuss our experience after your session.

    Group Sessions

I will message you before I begin the session on Etsy.

You can set any intention(s) by saying a prayer or blessing.

Know the infinite intelligence of the Reiki life force energy will go exactly where it needs to.

  • Reiki comes from the Japanese words "rei," meaning universal, and "ki," meaning life energy. What sets Reiki apart from other forms of touch therapy is the attunements the practitioner receives. These attunements open the channels in an individual, so they directly connect with the universal life force. After an attunement, these channels are open forever. The Reiki practitioner places their hands on or just above the person or whatever represents the individual during distant sessions to heal. The Ki energy does the rest, without any direction from the practitioner, flowing through the healer's hands. It is not drawn from the healer or her aura but from the life source. Check out our blog to learn more.

  • Relax! If you can. There is no right or wrong way to be during Reiki healing. Yes, the Reiki energy will always go where it needs to whenever it needs to, but I like for my clients to experience a moment of true self-care. You have taken the time and invested in yourself, why not use it? Truly enjoy the moment whether that be by taking a nap, running, practicing yoga, taking a bath, resting, journaling, meditating, whatever will place you in a peaceful, zen, mindset. That is the major takeaway from this healing. Check out our blog to learn more about distant reiki and some of the research behind it here.

  • Whenever you want to, if your spirit is leading to a session, don’t hesitate to book. Our goal is to instill the tools to heal and grow independently. We are always here for a tune-up but know the infinite life force energy is always inside you.

  • Why is consent important for Reiki?

Consent is foundational to all forms of healing work. Reiki is a gentle, supportive energy practice, and it is always offered with respect for personal autonomy.

Receiving Reiki is a choice. Consent ensures that energy is shared intentionally and respectfully.

Can I submit a request for someone else?

You may submit a request for another person only if you have their permission.

Energy work should not be directed toward someone without their awareness or consent. If you are unsure whether someone would welcome Reiki, it is best to encourage them to submit their own request.

What if someone cannot give consent?

    If a person is:

    • A minor

    • Medically unable to respond

    • Or otherwise unable to communicate consent

A parent, legal guardian, or authorized caregiver may submit on their behalf.

What does consent mean in this space?

    Consent here means:

    • You are choosing to receive Reiki.

    • You understand Reiki is a spiritual and energetic practice.

    • You acknowledge that Reiki is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or emergency care.

    • You may discontinue participation at any time.

    Can I withdraw my request?

Yes. You may contact The Zen Filled Life at any time to withdraw your request.

Your autonomy and comfort always come first.

    Is Reiki sent without permission?

No. Reiki is not intentionally directed toward individuals without consent.

In cases where someone wishes to offer support to another person who has not given permission, Reiki may instead be directed toward the situation itself or offered as a general intention for well-being — without focusing on a specific individual.

Does Reiki override someone’s free will?

No. Reiki does not override free will.
It is offered gently and respectfully. Individuals receive only what they are open to receiving.

Is Reiki a replacement for medical or mental health treatment?

No. Reiki is a complementary spiritual practice intended to support overall well-being. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical or psychological conditions.

If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please seek appropriate professional care.
